Campus Life

Squaw Valley Academy Bay Area has built its own living and learning community within the hearts and minds of our students, teachers, administrators and families. Our community comes from all over the world to create a singular, multi-cultural global community with one goal in mind: the success of each and every student. We provide a collaborative and at the same time individualized learning environment to ensure student successes.

A Typical School Day

Squaw Valley Academy Bay Area students arrive at campus around 7:30 AM. This allows time for students to meet with any teachers, socialize with friends and visit office staff with any questions. Classes then begin promptly at 8:00 AM. Throughout the normal class day students enjoy small class sizes with highly credentialed, dedicated and encouraging faculty. Individual academic plans are created to ensure student success.

Lunch begins around 12:00 PM. Students can sign up for the Choice Lunch program and have a variety of delicious meal options to choose from throughout the school year. Students are also allowed to bring their personal lunches. A typical school day includes athletic activities that range from track, field, table tennis, basketball, etc. Students learn the importance of regular exercise and how it correlates to academic success. The day ends at 3:15 PM. Students can choose to participate in a variety of after-school clubs. Specialized tutoring hours are also available for students needing extra assistance regarding any class.
